Appearance: Rein is of a slight build, at a height of 6 foot and a slim appearance she is a rarity of her race. Her amber almost gold eyes shine , Rein has always been embarrassed by her strange eyes, shes found that people always comment on her eyes and anything that made her different was something she hated. So she hides, letting her wavy blonde hair cover her eyes her beauty is not immediatly obvious but the combination of her hair, her eyes and her pale almost pure white skin make her one hard to forget. Her hair is cut short and frames her face when held back. Reins pure white skin is scarred by a deep black scar which reaches from her left shoulder to her right hip. It is what is left of her injuries from four years ago (see history), like a whip mark it stands out in bold defiance, a reminder of a injury which caused so much damage which left her on the brink of death and to this day still sends pain up her back. Something that she has learnt to accept, it is a scar that will never fade and stays as a reminder and a clue to her past. Rein wears clothes woven by her own hands over the years she spent with Aarna. She wore knee high dark brown leather boots with a slight heal, with skin tight black leggings. Over the top she wore a vest like tunic, with no sleaves in a deep purple which fanned out in different lengths from her waist allowing easy movement, secured around her waist with a deep crimson ribbon. On her arms she wore black gloves which reached just above her elbow for warmth, and also support for her writs and hands when she held her new staff, a present from Aarna. She never wears clothes which reveal her back to others, and is quite careful when she washes insuring that others do not see evidence of her past. Rein always wears a ribbon somewhere on her, whether it be her wrist, her hair, her waist or even around her neck. She is also never seen without her dolphin pendent. She is one of a kind, once seen you cant forget her, her eyes piercing you behind the vail of blonde hair. In addition Rein is rarely seen with a smile on her face, she has forgotton how to smile and to laugh, her expression is always tough and serious, but if you look closely at her eyes they will tell you much, they are the window to her soul.
Weapon/Possessions: staff and long sword. Rein also carries around her neck a pendent carved out of the finest willow of a dolphin; it is her talisman and means everything to her it is also the key to her past.
Personality: Rein is seen as quite withdrawn. In big groups she tends to stand alone enjoying her own company. During her Mage training she found it hard to work with her master and made the most progress when she trained alone. Yet she is lonely events of her past have made her the withdrawn being she is now, she longs to change but a barrier exists that she cant seem to cross. With those she trusts Rein is a spirited being of laughter and joy and hope. If you reach her heart you will find a sweetness thought lost in the world, its getting through the shield , the mask she wears to get there, that is the challenge.
Weakness/Strength: Weakness: Reins weakness is her withdrawn spirit and the way she keeps everyone at an arms distance, she finds it hard to trust and in any situation of danger not being able to trust allies is a weakness of massive proportions. Her Loneliness is also a weakness, without feeling friendship and love she cannot reach her potential.
Rein is empathetic and whilst in some cases this would be strength she sees it as a weakness. That she can’t join in with others in their laughter and friendships hurts her and in times of intense loneliness her ability to connect with her power is weakened.
Strengths: Rein is highly gifted water mage; her ability to train alone has assisted her in developing control over her power and shaping it to be used in defence and attack. She is at one with water, she feels its spirit through her, water has been her friend for as long as she can remember. Her withdrawn spirit can also be strength as it enables her to not get distracted by others, and to focus on developing her abilities. Rein is extremely caring and a fierce defender of those she cares about. She will defend the good in the world until she perishes and beyond.
History/Background: Rein does not remember much of her past before she was 15, only flashes of memories haunt her which she feels sets her apart from others. In truth her past is one of death and torture which her mind blocked it out, knowing that the truth would drive her mad until she was ready.
Four years ago Rein woke in a garden which she had never seen before to her memory, she could remember her name and nothing more. Overtaken by the pain of many injuries that spread the entire surface of her body, there was blood oozing from everywhere you could see. From the pain and the blurred sight of blood Rein fainted. A week later the 15 year old woke in the house of a Juna who told her to call her Aarna, her entire body was wrapped in bandages, from her toes to her neck and she could barely see only blurred shapes appeared in front of her and that and that she could not move anything was enough to overwhelm her. Her face and eyes bruised and swollen and it was a month before the bandages could be removed. Her recovery was a long one, it took her two months to be able to sit up by herself and feed herself another two months for her to stand again and another 6 for her to be able to take small shaky steps. That time of recovery remained one of embarrassment for her, not being able to feed herself or wash herself or look after herself at all filled her with shame, but she came to trust the Juna who so patiently cared for her. It was over a year later that she was able to walk outside un aided. A time will come where she will write of her recovery, but that time is not now. She had no memory of what happened to her, though Aarna asked her many times, still no memory came, Rein remembered nothing of how she ended up nearly dead in the garden, all she remembered was pain nor did she remember anything before the day she woke, except for her name. At night it was different, her dreams were full of terror and torture and though when she woke no memory remained, Aarna was worried that Reins past would catch up to her, that the screams that plagued them at night would reappear during day. The night of dreams were the hardest for Aarna especially when Rein couldn’t move any part of her body, Aarna was scared the poor dear would die from the pain, she saw the potential in the girl and faught hard every day for her survival. Rein knew nothing of the dreams, Aarna never told her, and she never had any memory of the dreams once she woke.
A year after she was found by Aarna, it was discovered that she was a water mage, and immediately the Juna a water mage herself began her training, and was surprised at the power that Rein showed.
Now four years Rein had found her potential and worked steadily towards it. Aarna's power weakened as she grew older, and she was thankful that she had found Rein all those years ago, having a young spirit around had made her life worthwhile, finally she had fulfilled her purpose. Whilst Rain remained withdrawn with Aarna in times the spirit within escaped her and the two shared many special moments, Rein always avoiding the time she spent recovering. The dreams have not stopped, and no memory has returned to the young woman. It is time for her to join the world, to discover her past, to remember. She joins this story as she leaves the place she has always called home, told by Aarna to head to Talis for further development of her mage skills and to discover the truth of her past.
Relations: none that she knows of (as she remembers nothing of her past) She views Aarna the Juna which saved her as a mother figure

Your Weakness/Strength part is a little bit unclear. What do you mean when "Rein feels emotions of others and it aches that she cant join in with them in their laughter?" Is she empathetic?
I'm quite sure there are dolphins in the Realms.

Hm, the amber eyes I can accept, but purple-white hair? Is there an explanation for it? I'll have to ask RM about that one, seeing as we aren't an anime-based role-play site.
...is it just me, or did you base her appearance off Mikaya?

Ah, I didn't notice before, but humans aren't naturally gifted in dark vision. I don't think that will be allowed, seeing as humans usually haven't any special powers beyond magic. For the sake of making things easier, I'll have to ask you to change that.
